Town of Victoria sets this year’s pool opening date

Now the town has provided an answer. The start for this season is Friday, May 23, beginning at 11 a.m. This season, the pool will be open Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone who buys a daily pass for $10. Those with a season pass will get in either a bit earlier or a bit later.

Lunenburg shooting suspect in custody, victim recovering

Published 4:33 pm Wednesday, April 9, 2025 One person is recovering from gunshot wounds and the suspect in a Lunenburg shooting that happened Tuesday night is in custody today. The call came in to the sheriff’s office at about 7:52 p.m., which is when deputies responded to a report of shots fired on Mecklenburg Street. When they arrived, deputies found one man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
