That’s when the official public hearing will take place with the county’s planning commission, discussing the proposed conditional use permit for the “initial” phase of the Green Ridge landfill. But there appears to be some confusion over what is and isn’t taking place, as well as what happens afterward.

Or they can set the tax rate to generate the same amount of money as this year, which would mean budget cuts. The group received a tax rate presentation from County Finance Manager Crystal Baker during their called meeting on Tuesday, April 15, followed by a public hearing.

This is how they’ve been able to buy police cars and other needed equipment, staggering the payments over several years.
