A Portland homeless man was arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly stabbing another homeless man in the city’s downtown area. Portland Police say they responded to the area of Cumberland Avenue and Preble Street shortly after 6 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of a stabbing. At the scene, police found a 41-year-old homeless man who had suffered a laceration to his hand. The victim was taken to Maine Medical Center, where he was treated and has since been released.
