Rochester Lions Club member Dale Landis has received the Melvin Jones Fellow award from the Lions Club International Foundation. The award honors a Lion who has a heart filled with generosity, compassion and has concern for the less fortunate. Lion Landis is instrumental with being a prime force with annually conducting the Kids Vison eye checkups for preschool students usually serving more than 300 students. Landis was born and raised in Peru.

Eighth grade students from North Miami Elementary School attended a Junior Achievement Finance Park simulation May 2 thanks to a partnership with Duke Energy.
