The Rockefeller Foundation

The Rockefeller Foundation

Since receiving our initial grant to the American Red Cross over a hundred years ago, The Rockefeller Foundation has established itself as a pioneer in creating unexpected collaborations and driving innovations that lead to significant change. Our accomplishments are numerous. We played a key role in founding the contemporary field of public health, created a vaccine that helped manage yellow fever, and addressed issues like hookworm in the U.S. and malaria in Italy. Additionally, we supported urban thinker Jane Jacobs and were instrumental in initiating the Green Revolution.
