The Sauce

The Sauce

Originally, The Sauce started as a side project, but it quickly took off. We’re a group of creative individuals brought together by a few corporate types, all of whom share a passion for food, drink, travel, and the vibrant city of London. However, we found it difficult to discover a magazine that truly resonated with our interests. While there are plenty of decent options available, we aimed to create something with real authenticity—a magazine infused with humor that understands its topics without being overly specialized. Our goal is to produce a publication that connects with you, our readers, as if we genuinely know you, and to share exciting content that we think you’ll love.

Well, there goes our last bank holiday ‘til August (a moment of silence, please…) But don’t spiral just yet. Whether you’re after the full butler experience or just want a suite with an incredible view to mark a special occasion, there’s something here for everyone.

Hotels with Michelin starred chefs are pretty much two-a-penny. In London you’re seemingly never more than a few yards from one. But they’re a much rarer find when you’re soaking up the island heat far from home. Greece only has a dozen Michelin Starred restaurants, all of them in Athens. Until this summer. Because Omicron Hotel Group have come up with a brilliant idea; why not bring not one, not two or even three Michelin chefs to their hotel in Crete, but six?

Rioja! Just the word conjures the warmth of northern Spain, the vibrant culture and, of course, the delicious wines that come from the region. And, as we’re playing word associations, this summer Rioja will also make you think of Hackney Bridge. Because all things Rioja will converge on the east London enclave thanks to 100 Years Of Rioja, a one-of-a-kind festival from Rioja Wine UK.

Britain isn’t exactly known for its blazing sun. But what Brits do excel at is making the absolute most of those precious moments when the clouds part and the temperature rises. And nothing quite signals the arrival of warmer days like the sudden, almost primal urge to eat excellent food outdoors. It’s al fresco season, baby. Dining outside in London is one of life’s great gambles, Will it be glorious? Will it rain sideways into your pasta? Who knows! But when it does work out, it’s magic.
