The Second Disc
On January 11, 2010, The Second Disc launched its inaugural post, reflecting on the top reissues of 2009, which included works from artists like Elvis Costello, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson. On that same day, Mike Duquette shared our first genuine news piece regarding Legacy Recordings' purchase of the Jimi Hendrix catalog. By January 31, we published our first review, focusing on Whitney Houston: The Deluxe Anniversary Edition. Then, on March 4, 2010, Joe Marchese joined The Second Disc, contributing two reviews—one of David Bowie's debut on Deram Records and another for The Essential Carole King—as well as a news article about an upcoming reissue campaign for the Cameo-Parkway catalog.
