The SOMM Journal
Meridith May, the Publisher and Executive Editor of THE TASTING PANEL Magazine, took over the Sommelier Journal in January 2014, rebranding it as The SOMM Journal. The first issue of this bi-monthly magazine hit the stands in June/July. Fans of the Sommelier Journal were disappointed when they learned that the magazine would cease operations on October 25, 2013. However, The SOMM Journal has introduced a new editorial team featuring acclaimed wine writers, sommeliers, and experts from around the world. This includes Anthony Dias Blue as the Editor-in-Chief and David Gadd as the Executive Editor, along with a group of leading writers from the wine and hospitality sectors. The magazine has also established partnerships with prominent wine associations, educational institutions, and educators both in the U.S. and internationally.
