The majority of the game was completed, but a thunderstorm swept through the area during the bottom of the eighth, leading to the game’s cancellation.

The Missouri State University baseball team took two of three games against the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks in its first home series of the 2025 season. The Bears turned around what could’ve been another disastrous weekend — after losing game one of the series in yet another large late-inning collapse — by finishing strong with two straight wins. “It speaks to the toughness of the team,” first-year head coach Joey Hawkins said of the turnaround.
