The Striker

The Striker is a dedicated soccer news platform, both as an app and a website, focusing on local soccer coverage across all levels. Our mission is to share stories about your teams that you won't find elsewhere, crafted by writers who share your passion for the sport. Founded in 2021 as The Striker Texas, we began as a group of soccer enthusiasts aiming to create a vibrant community that fosters a positive atmosphere in soccer. We provide a platform for everyone involved in the sport to express themselves, learn, inspire, and be entertained. In the summer of 2022, we broadened our reach beyond Texas to include local reporting in Southern California and Atlanta. Our team of devoted journalists delivers exceptional local insights on MLS and NWSL teams, along with national perspectives on professional soccer events. We also highlight the connection between local fans and our national teams, and yes, we’ll cover the World Cup too! We are dedicated to covering every level of the game, from the USL Championship to amateur leagues, as well as men’s and women’s college soccer, and youth players aspiring to reach the highest levels. We welcome your feedback on any stories you think are missing. Our app and website also serve as an inclusive online hub where soccer community members can share their own stories and videos about the local topics that matter most to them. At The Striker, we believe every soccer match has a story to tell. That's why every day is a celebration of soccer news!
