While the top 20 list features many of the riders and teams we would expect, there’s a new addition to the category for 2025 as Padgetts Racing is entering the class with two-time TT race winner Davey Todd.

    Road racing veteran James Hillier has secured a deal to compete at the 2025 Isle of Man TT after securing a ride with Bournemouth Kawasaki. Hillier was originally set to contest the 2025 TT races with OMG Racing’s rebranded squad for the roads, WTF Racing. However, those plans went kaput when OMG Racing announced it would be leaving the British Superbike championship as well as ending all its road racing commitments.

    The first of many social ‘Bike Nights’ at Bristol-based dealer Fowlers Motorcycles will kick off on May 2, and will continue until September. The Bike Nights initiative will be held at Fowlers on the first Friday of each month, and it is open to all riders, whether you’re riding a motorbike or scooter. As part of the program, each event will feature a line-up of judges that will select a Bike of the Night.

    Rumours of Toprak Razgatlioglu joining MotoGP have been consistent for years, although every time they have surfaced, they have flattered to deceive as the Turkish rider never made the switch. However, his manager has revealed that a move to the Grand Prix paddock is closer than ever. Speaking at last weekend’s Dutch round in Assen where Razgatlioglu struggled for pace in dry conditions, his manager Kenan Sofuoglu admitted that discussions were ongoing about taking his star talent to MotoGP.

    2022 BSB champion Bradley Ray has found a new home for the 2025 season, after agreeing to join the new-look Raceways Yamaha team. Like former teammate Kyle Ryde, who Ray was supposed to team up with again in 2025, the ex-WorldSBK rider has instead landed a 2025 BSB seat with Raceways Yamaha after the new-look team stepped up to replace OMG Racing. OMG has since partnered with Nitrous Competitions, enabling the team to stay on the grid for 2025, but only with Ryde in the hot seat.
