I always say that great style does not need to cost a ton of money, and today’s round-up is proof of that. I gasped when I saw this raffia fish bag; it’s fun and a great price. The green piping is everything. I already have two fish purses (lol), so I am certainly not allowed another, but someone else, please get it! I spied these beaded necklaces on two girlfriends in Charleston (from Monkees, a local boutique) and love them.

I really like the bag charm trend. This was definitely a thing when I was fresh out of college, so it feels a little nostalgic to me, in a good way. Unlike crop tops and super low-rise jeans, I can pull this one off! Nostalgia aside, bag charms are a great way to add a little personality to a more classic tote or cross-body bag. One must-have for life in Charleston is cute rain gear, as we certainly get a lot of it. Today, I’m going to share a few of my personal favorites, along with great picks for every sort of style. April Showers: My favorite rain gearI really like my Pendleton rain jacket. It’s the perfect sunny yellow color, it has a nice big hood, and it’s practical: thick and durable, built to last. The best basic raincoat. I also wear my Hunter ankle boots a lot.

One of my favorite ways to add interest to an outfit is through texture. And hands down, my favorite texture is raffia. I love it in the spring and summer months, but depending on the piece and outfit, raffia can work all year round. Take, for example, the Loewe tote. 100% seasonless, thanks to the black leather accents and classic shape. A straw bag always looks fresh, easy, and effortless. In the warmer months, I go all in on raffia. Sandals, bags, and other accessories: I can’t get enough.

I am happiest when my pajamas are on by 7 pm. By that equation, I spend approximately 50% of my life in pajamas (maybe more, on weekends, when I sometimes leave them on until noon). Recently, I noticed my pajama drawer looked slightly sad and ratty. I needed a little refresh! It was time to say goodbye to the ratty ones (pro-tip: cut up ratty pima pajamas and turn them into rags, they’ll be perfect for drying dishes and/or polishing silver) and add a few new things.

When I came across REFY Beauty, I was instantly intrigued. The brand was founded in 2020 by Jess Hunt and Jenna Meek. All of their imagery shows dewy, minimal, effortless-looking makeup. Their approach felt both aspirational (beautiful models) but still accessible, like something I could maybe achieve on my own without spending a lot of time and effort. I liked their simplified, pared-down approach. I also liked that the products are always vegan, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free.
