The Triangle is an independent newspaper managed by students at Drexel University, both editorially and financially. It publishes every other Friday throughout the academic year and on a monthly basis during the summer. For years, The Triangle has served as a trusted source for campus news and a platform for student opinions at Drexel.

    The Foundry was packed with eager fans waiting to see San Diego indie pop band almost monday on Saturday, Feb. 11 for the Philadelphia stop on their “DIVE” tour, named after their debut album. The deluxe version of the album was released just a few weeks ago on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The opener, Adrian Lyles, who also plays Jett on the television series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” took the stage at 8 p.m. sporting a black leather bomber jacket and a silver chain.

    Drexel University’s Board of Trustees announced that by a unanimous vote Antonio Merlo, PhD, has been confirmed as the 16th president of Drexel University in a press release on Friday, Jan. 31. Merlo is set to assume his position on July 1, succeeding Interim President Denis P. O’Brien. O’Brien is confident in Merlo’s upcoming tenure.

    The latest Schuylkill Yards development at 3151 Market Street is set to open soon. Brandywine Realty Trust is bringing over 400,000 square feet of new life sciences lab space to West Philadelphia in partnership with Drexel University through a ground lease. 3151 Market will also include retail offerings: namely, a Fine Wine & Good Spirits liquor store and a Starbucks on the ground floor. The FW&GS will be a “Premium Collection” location, featuring high-end spirits and events like wine tastings.
