QPR remain without a head coach, with Marti Cifuentes still on gardening leave and his official departure yet to be confirmed. The continued uncertainty is doing little to help preparations for next season. With no formal update from the club, it appears Cifuentes’ exit may only be confirmed once a new manager is appointed. The Hoops appeared to have set their sights on Johannes Hoff Thorup as a leading candidate for the managerial role, but he has reportedly declined their offer.

Burnley are preparing for life back in the Premier League after they won promotion at the first time of asking. This will be the 4th consecutive year that the Clarets have yo-yoed between the Championship and the top flight. Scott Parker’s side are under no illusions of the task ahead of them next year, even after a 100-point season in the Championship. They are going to need to be very shrewd in the transfer market to stand any chance of survival.
