LEESBURG — Upcoming events and projects taking place in town were discussed at the Leesburg Town Council meeting Monday. The Leesburg Memorial Day parade will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 26. All parade participants are to be in place by 10:15 a.m. Veterans will meet at Town Hall. The parade route will be south on Pearl Street and west on Prairie Street to the cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the cemetery following the parade.

The cause of a Sunday evening house fire remains under investigation. According to Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Fire Marshal Jeremy Williams, the initial call for the house fire at 1443 Brookview Ave., Warsaw, came in at 4:11 p.m. Sunday. It was determined the fire started on the exterior, but ran up into the attic. Two adults were home at the time of the fire. Williams said there were no injuries or loss of life. County records indicate the property is owned by Steve and Nancy Sausaman Trust.

According to a news release from the Milford Police Department, at approximately 9:44 p.m. Sunday, Milford Police Department deputy Marshal Wynn attempted a traffic stop on a 2008 gray Dodge Grand Caravan around Ind. 15 and Levi Lee Road.
