With a sectional championship on the line on Thursday night, the Tippecanoe Valley and Columbia City softball teams met at Fairfield High School and treated spectators to an incredibly well-played game. Pitching was the story all game long, with the Lady Eagles outlasting the Lady Vikings in a 4-2 win. Dalynne Bussard, one of the best pitchers in the area all season long, was tasked with shutting down the Columbia City offense from the circle.

The second day of the girls tennis sectional at Warsaw featured just one match, but it certainly was a doozy. The host Lady Tigers and Tippecanoe Valley, both conference champions in the middle of great seasons, treated spectators to a fantastic match. Disappointed that Gavin wasn’t named an Indiana All-Star today, but that doesn’t diminish what was a fantastic career.

With over 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in his career, @gavin_be11en of @squireathletics had already put together a great career. By ending his last year as a leader of a state championship team, he was a shoo in to repeat as our Player of the Year. https://t.co/efud2xbAKT

Joslyn has been so much fun to cover over the course of her career. This season, she took it to another level and is incredibly deserving of this award!

In the biggest moments of the season, Warsaw could always count on @JoslynBricker10 to come through. Her “big game DNA”, as Coach @LennyKrebs calls it has earned her Player of the Year honors. https://t.co/PvkJUrn4V5
