    The US-82 widening project in Prattville is substantially complete, officials with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) said on April 11. The infrastructure improvement project has enhanced the highway for local and regional traffic. Funded by the Rebuild Alabama Act, the project expanded US-82 to four lanes between US-31 and SR-14. Officials estimated the project cost at nearly $38 million, funded by state gas tax proceeds.
