TVA Sports

TVA Sports is a specialty channel in Canada that broadcasts in French and falls under Category C. It is owned by the TVA Group, which is a publicly traded branch of Quebecor Media. This channel serves as a general-interest sports network and stands as the primary rival to RDS, the only other French-language sports network available in the country. The channel acquires a significant portion of its programming through agreements with the English-language network Sportsnet and its parent company, Rogers Communications. Starting from the 2014-15 season, TVA Sports became the national French-language broadcaster for both the National Hockey League and Major League Soccer in Canada, including coverage of the Montreal Impact, a league expansion team. Additionally, TVA Sports features coverage of the Canadian Hockey League, Toronto Blue Jays baseball, and various other sporting events.
