MORGANTOWN – Another winter storm impacted the Friday morning’s commute in Morgantown. Overnight snow caused slick roads around the region, even as accumulation totals remained light. Both interstates, primary and secondary roads were snow and slush-covered throughout the morning as the snow continued. The weather caused numerous closures and cancellations on Friday. All schools in the region were closed for the day. West Virginia University canceled classes and shut down campus.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A sneaky November snow system has ground the Tuesday morning commute to a crawl across Monongalia County. Multiple accidents have been reported across Monongalia County. Emergency officials are reporting several accidents around the area. Snow and ice-covered roads have impacted motorists on both Interstates 68 and 79. Vehicles are stopped on I-79 in both directions. Traffic on Grafton Road and Kingwood Pike has been at a standstill at multiple points this morning.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Living in Good Health Together (LIGHT) program operated by Milan Puskar Health Right serves about 800 people in the area, giving them the tools and knowledge to stay disease-free and understand the treatment options available. During a presentation to Morgantown City Council, Milan Puskar Health Right Executive Director Laura Jones said since 2017, the overdose rate per 100,000 people in Monongalia County has gone from 278 per 100,000 to 358 per 100,000 currently.
