WBT-AM (Charlotte, NC)

WBT (1110 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station that broadcasts to the Charlotte metropolitan area, covering segments of both North Carolina and South Carolina. It was first licensed on March 18, 1922, making it one of the earliest radio stations in the United States. The station features a news and talk radio format, which is also available on WBT-FM (99.3) and the HD2 digital subchannel of its sister station, WLNK. WBT is owned by Urban One. Its studios and offices are located at One Julian Price Place on West Morehead Street, just to the west of Uptown Charlotte. The station shares its building with WBTV, the city's CBS television affiliate, which is currently owned by Gray Television but was once part of the same ownership group as WBT Radio.
