WCBU-FM (Peoria, IL)

WCBU is a public radio station affiliated with Bradley University and run by Illinois State University's WGLT. Serving nearly 1 million people in central Illinois, WCBU broadcasts around the clock, featuring news programs from trusted sources like NPR, the BBC, and Public Radio International, along with entertainment shows such as Ask Me Another and Car Talk. In addition to its main programming, WCBU also offers WCBU2, an HD service dedicated to classical music that can be accessed via HD radio receivers or online. Furthermore, WCBU operates a Radio Information Service (RIS), which provides readings of local, state, and national materials for hundreds of individuals in the area who are blind, visually impaired, or face other print challenges. The station is funded through the generosity of about 3,000 member supporters, corporate underwriting, and grants from federal, state, and city agencies.
