WDSM-AM (Duluth , MN)

WDSM (710 AM) is a talk radio station located in Duluth, Minnesota, but it holds its license in Superior, Wisconsin. Established in 1938, WDSM originally joined the Mutual Broadcasting System under the requested call letters W Duluth Superior Mutual. It served the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota and the Duluth-Superior area with Mutual programming. In 1955, WDSM changed its network affiliation to join the NBC family, largely because of its focus on television and the launch of WDSM Channel 6 on March 1, 1954, as an NBC affiliate. The station remained with NBC Radio until the early 1990s. During the 1980s, WDSM switched to a country music format and later transitioned to sports radio in the 1990s.
