WNAX (570 AM) is a radio station located in Yankton, South Dakota, and is owned by Saga Communications, Inc. It features a News/Talk programming format. Thanks to the flat terrain of the upper Great Plains and the excellent ground conductivity in the area, WNAX's 5,000-watt signal, which operates at a lower frequency than many AM stations, reaches extensive areas across South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, and North Dakota.
