Welcome to Women Blazing Trails! I'm glad you're here! Let me introduce myself so you can get to know the person behind this platform. I’m Iva, a Canadian expat in my 50s, currently residing in Guatemala. I originally came here in October 2015 with plans to stay for just 4-6 months, but now I proudly call this beautiful country my home. One of my key motivations for moving was to help combat malnutrition and make a difference in the fight against hunger. A significant portion of my online earnings goes towards feeding children in need. (And yes, escaping those chilly Canadian winters was definitely a bonus!) I transitioned from being a hairstylist to a freelance writer, and my mission with this website is to inspire and empower women everywhere to embrace their true selves and live joyfully.
