A decision by East Sussex County Council to allow bus passes for disabled people to be used across the county at any time of the day has been welcomed by campaigner and former Lib Dem Councillor Sean Macleod. Mr Macleod has long campaigned on this issue and says it is ‘a very welcome move by East Sussex County Council’ who are using BSIP money to deliver this enhancement to bus services.

Sussex Police have made an arrest after responding to report of a man ‘on a window ledge’ in Crawley. Police were executing a warrant at an address in Broomdasher Road this morning (May 20) when a man climbed onto the ledge. A cordon and road closure were put in place to ensure the safety of the man, the force’s officers and ‘the wider public’. The force said a 24-year-old man from Crawley has subsequently been arrested.

Anne Morley, of Sea Lane, said at www.crowdfunder.co.uk that she was left with nothing but an unfinished house project and ‘multiple debts’ after the incident. Anne, who has no family, said the scam happened while major renovation works were being carried out on her damaged roof.
