WRIR-FM (Richmond,VA)

WRIR-LP 97.3 FM is a nonprofit community radio station in Richmond, Virginia, run entirely by volunteers. It serves the Metro Richmond area and holds the title of the largest low power FM station in the country. The station is owned and managed by the Virginia Center for Public Press. Its studios can be found on West Broad Street, while the transmitter is situated to the northeast of downtown Richmond. WRIR-LP began its broadcasting journey on January 1, 2005.
