Police say the driver, 23-year-old Marco Duran of Rotterdam, was intoxicated at the time of the crash. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Broadway. Security camera video shows the car moving quickly, then spinning out of control before smashing into the front of the restaurant. Duran is seen getting out of the vehicle moments later.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the incident caused significant damage to the dock and stairs and is being treated as a hit-and-run. Built in 1874, the lighthouse once guided ships along a dangerous stretch of the Hudson River.
