Flashbacks in anime can serve many purposes, such as fleshing out a character's backstory, worldbuilding, or explaining someone's motives. Flashbacks can be innocent or happy, but to enhance the narrative, they tend to be negative in some ways. Plenty of dark flashbacks involve scenes of emotional or verbal abuse, despair, grief, violence, abandonment, and the like. Brutal experiences like those can reshape a character in all kinds of ways.

A lower-tier German football match between FC Taxi II and Rot-Weiss Mulheim III got called off after referee Stefan Kahler had his balls bitten by an unruly child. As Kahler checked players over before the game, a child of one of the players ran up to him and bit him in the left nut. Kahler reportedly buckled over in extreme pain and had no choice but to call off the game. The two clubs will now have the game rescheduled for later in the season.

The investigation into a September property damage crash in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Sodus man. The accident on September 6th involving 25-year-old Kenneth Kommer happened on Alling Drive in Sodus. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Kommer was observed to be impaired at the time of the crash following field sobriety tests.

Ithaca Police say they executive the search warrant at the home of Ruben Flowers due to a pending criminal investigation. It was during that execution that police located and seized the black Polymer 9MM handgunFlowers was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny.

The investigation into a structure fire in Steuben County has resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old man. It is alleged that Ivan Caparulo unlawfully possessed a rifle and pistol and acted in a manner likely to be injurious to a person under the age of 17. Caparulo was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a weapon, along with criminal possession of a weapon in the Fourth Degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

An Oswego man has been arrested after violating an order of protection in the Town of Sterling. According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported domestic violence incident at approximately 2:40p on Thursday. Upon arrival, deputies were able to contact the victim who had fled her home and was at a neighbor’s house. Deputies then attempted to contact the suspect 29-year-old Zachary Ermini, who was still at the victim’s home. Ermini allegedly refused to leave the house.

An 18-year-old Lockport man was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child on his cell phone. Ethan James, of Lockport, was charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child. James was released on an appearance ticket for Hopewell Town Court. SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio woman was sentenced in federal court to 325 months in prison followed by 30 years of supervised release for one count of sexual performance by a child. According to court documents, Keisha Lyn Swarner, 42, induced a 13-year-old boy to engage in sexual conduct with a 12-year-old girl. Swarner, who was a fifth-grade teacher, facilitated meetings between the two children at her home on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
