    Flashbacks in anime can serve many purposes, such as fleshing out a character's backstory, worldbuilding, or explaining someone's motives. Flashbacks can be innocent or happy, but to enhance the narrative, they tend to be negative in some ways. Plenty of dark flashbacks involve scenes of emotional or verbal abuse, despair, grief, violence, abandonment, and the like. Brutal experiences like those can reshape a character in all kinds of ways.

    A lower-tier German football match between FC Taxi II and Rot-Weiss Mulheim III got called off after referee Stefan Kahler had his balls bitten by an unruly child. As Kahler checked players over before the game, a child of one of the players ran up to him and bit him in the left nut. Kahler reportedly buckled over in extreme pain and had no choice but to call off the game. The two clubs will now have the game rescheduled for later in the season.

    The investigation into a September property damage crash in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Sodus man. The accident on September 6th involving 25-year-old Kenneth Kommer happened on Alling Drive in Sodus. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Kommer was observed to be impaired at the time of the crash following field sobriety tests.
