COLUMBUS - Twenty Pettisville FFA members recently attended the Ohio FFA Convention and Expo. On the first day of the convention, students had the opportunity to explore the career show and expo. During Session One, the chapter was recognized for donating $500 or more in charitable giving from April 1, 2024-March 30, 2025. During Session Two, Pettisville FFA was recognized as a Gold Medal Chapter, which is awarded to the top 10% chapters in the state.

HAMLER — The Patrick Henry Local Schools Board of Education Tuesday approved an updated five-year forecast for the district. Superintendent Dr. Josh Biederstedt reported, while revenues are projected to grow at accepted rates, the forecast does not anticipate significant levels of growth. However, it does contain a projected ruling in the Rover Pipeline case that is now at the Supreme Court of Ohio. “This settlement is projected in fiscal year 2028,” Biederstedt said.

ARCHBOLD — The Archbold Police Department reported it recently served a warrant resulting from a Fulton County grand jury indictment on 10 felony sex charges. In an incident report submitted by the Archbold Police Department Friday, it was reported officers went to a suspect’s address to serve an arrest warrant. It was reported contact was made with the subject, and Glenn L. Bennett, 55, of Archbold was arrested and transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO) without incident.

For Your InformationNapoleon Police DepartmentAccidents:McKenzie N. Weber, 16, of Defiance was eastbound on Clairmont Avenue near Wildcat Drie at 3:20 p.m. May 22. It was reported Weber was startled by an oncoming vehicle and pressed the accelerator while veering right. The vehicle exited the roadway and struck a sign. Weber was not injured, and damage to her vehicle was minor. A two-vehicle, non-injury accident was reported on Independence Drive at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
