LIBERTY CENTER — Liberty Center High School graduating senior Leah Orr said her faith and local supports have led to success. Orr has attended Liberty Center Local Schools for her academic career, graduating at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. Orr has stayed activate in participation with cheerleading, taking part in squads for competition, football and basketball. Orr also ran as part of Liberty Center’s track team.

Napoleon Police DepartmentAccidents:Christopher P. Vaughn, 45, of Defiance was approaching Scott Street from a private drive at 11:27 a.m. May 4, positioned in the right-hand turn lane. It was reported the traffic signal at the time was yellow, and Vaughn proceeded to turn right onto Scott Street. It was reported, due to the wet roadway, Vaughn's vehicle slid into a vehicle operated by Jeffrey D. Gasche, 60, of Libety Center. No injuries were reported, and damage to both vehicles was functional.

COLUMBUS - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources recently reported the following wildlife field reports for District Two - Northwest Ohio:During the 2024-25 waterfowl hunting season, State Wildlife Officer Reid Van Cleve, assigned to Ottawa County, observed two waterfowl hunters in Maumee Bay shoot three scaup and let the ducks float away without attempting to retrieve them.

First Presbyterian hosting picnic, concert

NAPOLEON — First Presbyterian Church is having a community picnic and concert Sunday, June 8. The church picnic will serve hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverages from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and a concert from the Napoleon Community Band will start at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets for seating. The church is located 303 W. Washington St. in Napoleon.
