    BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Court of Common Pleas denied an injunction against former Bedford County District Attorney Bill Higgins in a struggle for power over the Bedford County GOP. Higgins, who became the Chairman of the Party in May, won the vote 8-7 after some committee members were forced out of the meeting for not having at least 10 write-in votes during April’s primary election — despite the county election board already certifying their positions on the committee.

Kasidy and Sadie, two elementary students, told WTAJ’s Alyssa Royster they love to read. “I like really interesting books, comic books are probably my favorite,” the girls told Alyssa. In addition to raising awareness, the students also raised money through their reading rodeos.
