Officers conducted a welfare check on a man about 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, in the 4000 block of Fillmore Avenue near Dyer Street, El Paso Police Department spokesperson Det. Judy Oviedo wrote in a news release. An investigation by the department's Crimes Against Persons unit revealed the death was "suspicious," the news release states.
