The gunman who carried out the August 3, 2019 mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart killing 23 people has been transferred to the custody of the state of Texas to begin serving 23 life sentences. Now 26, Patrick Crusius pleaded guilty Monday to capital murder and 22 counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He then listened listened to victim impact statements from relatives of those gunned down and survivors of the attack.

The Texas gunman who killed 23 people in a racist attack targeting "Mexicans" at a Walmart in El Paso in 2019, was sentenced to 23 consecutive life sentences, after he pleaded guilty in state court Monday morning. Patrick Crusius accepted a plea deal offered by the El Paso District Attorney's office in return for not pursuing the death penalty.

EL PASO, Texas (KTEP) - The El Paso City Council will consider approving a nearly $4.8 million purchase of two Union Plaza buildings. During today's meeting, the council will vote on the purchase of the properties at 320 W. San Antonio and 301 W. Overland, the former Lynx Exhibits and a warehouse building.
