    Northeast Arts KC kicks off its three-part SummerDusk Concert Series with The Beau Bledsoe Trio at 7 p.m., June 21 at the Colonnade Building — located north of the Concourse Fountain (200 Benton Blvd). With free admission, attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets or lawn chairs. This Trio features a collection of international music played on guitar, cello and percussion instruments.

    Emily WheelerEditorial InternKids Cafe at Kansas City Public Library (KCPL) resumed June 10 — offering free, nutritious meals for children up to 18 years old. Its North-East branch will serve meals through Aug. 12, from 3 to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Each meal includes milk, meat/meat alternatives, vegetables, fruits and grains. These meals are provided through a partnership with Total Man Community Development Corporation.

    Emily WheelerEditorial InternRevolucion Educativa (RevED) (2203 Lexington Ave.), invited artist  Pedro Trueba June 12 to share his background and showcase his globally exhibited work. This lecture was free and open to the public. This event was organized in collaboration with Consulado de Mexico — who RevEd recently partnered with to assist development of a three-part mural painted by Trueba. Those in attendance met Trueba and could ask questions.
