    Nearly 24 years after the release of “Gladiator,” fans were graced with the sequel, “Gladiator II,” set 16 years after the end of Gladiator. As a Ridley Scott fan, and a much bigger “Gladiator” fan, this was my most anticipated watch of the year. I had high expectations for this movie going into watching it and let me just say… It did not disappoint. The opening credits followed the same animation style however, in “Gladiator II,” the animations show scenes from the first movie.

    For the past four years the MSU men’s soccer team has dominated on the field, earning the honor of being the LSC champions. Head coach Michael Meachum has led the team for the past seven seasons leading them to five total conference titles. The Mustangs are known for being included in the LSC tournament. This season marked the Mustangs ninth straight appearance in the tournament. Coach Meachum says that when a trophy is involved the team is going to compete and make sure they win.

    While Wichita Falls elections have all come to a close and a final answer or a candidate has been elected, one local election is headed to a runoff. City Council at Large candidates Austin Cobb and Samuel Pak continue to advocate for why they would be the best candidate to be elected. The runoff election is required since both candidates’ voting numbers were so close together and neither candidate won more than 50% of the vote. The runoff election will be Saturday, Dec. 14.
