    Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested one of the suspects involved in the killing of a popular businessman in Ondo State. The suspect identified as Ijalo had, on March 1, 2025, shot the businessman Sumaila Awoyinka at his residence in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state. According to the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Olayinka Ayanlade, the suspect was arrested following a discreet investigation.

In his resignation letter, Peretei maintained that working for the success of the party had become difficult due to what he described as selfishness on the part of some members and leaders.
