There were a series of rooms inside this factory, tucked onto a side street parallel to downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.     Breath in. Breath through. Breathe deep. Breathe out. If you close your eyes, you can imagine snow falling inside your apartment. Everything you touch turns to gold. Every person you love loves you back. Every thought you have is sound and funny and intelligent. Every word you say drips of honey and perfection. There’s a light always shining, and you are simply magic. “I want to feel more hopeful, like everything is working out for me.” I wrote those words in my journal back in January.

    Get to know the North Carolina Glass Center in the heart of the River Arts District of Asheville, North Carolina. Hurricane Helene struck the River Arts District, harming several small businesses in the process. While the NCGC came out of it mildly scathed, tourism in the RAD has gone down exponentially. The RAD is having a soft-reopening on Nov. 9-10, where the NCGC will be open to the public. Stop by, take a class and support the glass center during the RAD’s recovery.
