I'm told that there wasn't universal agreement between the club's decision-makers about letting the then 30 yr-old Spaniard depart, but Sport Republic held sway, with Romeu's age possibly a factor.

Ivan Juric was always going to be the fall guy this season. He was brought in on a short deal, a low-risk option, knowing he was up against it from the start. He hasn't helped himself at times, but I think he's a good guy who took a tough gig that was bigger than he thought!
