At 3.42pm on April 13 last year, critical care paramedic Chris Wilkinson received a call about multiple stabbings at Westfield Bondi Junction. The attacker, Joel Cauchi, had been shot dead just four minutes earlier. Mr Wilkinson was based at Bankstown Airport, 33km away.
