CINCINNATI — This one was satisfying for the Mariners, especially so for manager Dan Wilson. It wasn't just that the Mariners mounted a late rally to beat the Cincinnati Reds, 11-7, Thursday in 10 innings, after back-to-back home runs from Cal Raleigh and Randy Arozarena tied it in the top of the ninth. kAmu@C (:=D@?[ :E H2D 2D >F49 23@FE E96 >2??6C :?

CINCINNATI - Cal Raleigh and Randy Arozarena hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the score, and the Mariners scored four runs in the 10th inning en route to a seesaw 11-7 victory over the Cincinnati Reds to win their first road series of the season Thursday afternoon. Raleigh, incredibly, has hit six home runs in six games, giving him eight home runs (one shy of the MLB lead) in the Mariners' first 19 games. Five of those homers have come with his new torpedo bat.

CINCINNATI — For a day game after a night game, Mariners designated hitter Jorge Polanco was back in the lineup Thursday afternoon — just the third time this season he has started in back-to-back days. The switch-hitting Polanco, 31, has been the Mariners’ most consistent hitter, posting a .366/.372/.610 slash line (.982 OPS) with three homers and a team-leading 12 RBI, and naturally Dan Wilson wants Polanco in the lineup as often as possible. With a caveat.

RT @SeaTimesSports: 24 years ago today, Ichiro threw "something out of Star Wars," to gun down Terrance Long at third base from right field…

RT @ByTimBooth: Rowdy Tellez has his second hit as a Mariner ... and it's a solo homer on an 0-2 pitch from deGrom. 2-0 M's.

Julio Rodriguez is not a fan of the new torpedo bat after experimenting for the first time with it today. "Not for me." https://t.co/zM6wfam53U
