Latham, N.Y. — Championship week has arrived on the turf for boy's lacrosse, two sectional titles were up for grabs at Shaker High School on Tuesday night. The first game of the night was for the Class D title between #1 Schuylerville and #2 Stillwater-Mechanicville. These two foes met up just once in the regular season, the Black Horses won that one 12-1. This time around, it was Stillwater-Mechanicville who threw the first punch.

Latham, N.Y. — When it comes to boy's lacrosse in the Capital Region, there's one program that has been above all the others for over three decades: Niskayuna Lacrosse. The Silver Warriors have won 20 sectional titles but this year, they were moved up to Class A, giving them a tougher road to the title. Tuesday night, 'Nisky, the #1 seed in the Class A bracket, went on the road to Shaker to face off with the Blue Bison for all the marbles.

Troy, N.Y. — Hudson Valley Community College Softball is dancing their way into the NJCAA Division III World Series. The Vikings' historic season isn't done just yet as they now get the chance to compete to win the program's first-ever national championship. HVCC, winners of 18-straight games, found out their World Series seeding and opponent on Monday night. The Vikings will be the five-seed and will play #4 CCRI (Rhode Island) in the Opening Round of the World Series.

From being picked to finish 11th overall (out of 13 teams) in the preseason MAAC polls, to now earing the four-seed and a first round bye in the conference tournament, the Saints are proving all the doubters wrong. Siena (22-30, 17-13) has found ways to win games and series all season long, including a stretch of six-straight conference series wins.
