It’s a hot button criminal reform issue -- "Raise the Age". It's the law that changes the age of criminal responsibility as an adult from 16 to 18 years old. Today the NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli is out with a report that says Raise the Age has cost NYS taxpayers $1.71 billion through state fiscal year 2025. That's how much has been appropriated -- so far $658.8 million has actually been disbursed.

Albany, NY (WRGB) — It's the pay raise that is raising concerns in Albany County. On Monday night, the legislature's majority Democrats passed a resolution that in essence provided an eight thousand dollar pay raise to one member - Wanda Willingham. She has just been named deputy chair of the legislature, a position that does not call for a stipend or any extra money.

It’s a food fest at Frear Park in Troy. On Tuesday they took the wraps off a brand new restaurant at Frear – the first in a series of major improvements coming to the park. Stakeholders came together to cut the ribbon outside the new temporary restaurant called On The Green -- it will tide the park over until a new permanent restaurant is built. It's a huge space under a white tent, with all sorts of food and beverages.

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — If President Donald Trump has his way - you could soon be paying a lot less for prescription drugs. The President Monday signed a sweeping executive order that sets a 30 day deadline for drug makers to lower their prices substantially. The U.S. Health Department if being tasked with working with the drug companies to come up with new prices. Trump says he wants people in the U.S. to be paying about the same price as people in most other countries where drug costs are much lower.
