As well as not wearing a hat, two pairs of trousers, revealing outfits, hoodies and sunglasses, as well as sticking to a multitude of other strict rules to get into the prison. The Ministry of Justice imposed the new ID rule this week and updated its information page for visitors to HMP Featherstone.

Prolific shoplifter Lucy Winkett's crime spree culminated in her stamping on a man's head as she robbed him before punching a female bystander in the face. The vicious assaults came after months of repeatedly stealing from the same shops in Brierley Hill, Dudley and Merry Hill in 2023 and 2024. Winkett stole coffee, cheese, children's clothes, confectionary, beer, from small shops whose owners were often powerless to sop her as she often was accompanied by a burley man.

Brett Delaney, 34, appeared at Stafford Crown Court, charged with manslaughter, dangerous driving and causing bodily harm by wanton or furious driving. Mother-of-three Suzanne Cherry was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday, April 11 outside Aston Wood Golf Club, Shenstone, she died from her injuries four days later.
