    Fairbanks, Alaska (KTUU/KTVF) - Within about five days’ time, construction crews were able to restore traffic flow on the Dalton Highway after a weekend washout and severe erosion in multiple locations made the haul road impassible. On Wednesday, the Alaska Dept. of Transportation (DOT) and public facilities reopened the highway to single-lane traffic as repairs continue. That traffic control remains in effect between mileposts 313 and 345.

    FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU/KTVF) - Two days after a flood washed out part of the Dalton Highway, maintenance and operations crews for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT) are still working to repair the vital corridor. According to the DOT, high waters washed out a culvert at milepost 315 on the haul road, resulting in an emergency closure on Saturday.
