Officials issued a “GO” evacuation status Friday for the June Creek Subdivision and Bear Creek Subdivision, located between mileposts 264 and 270 West of the Parks Highway. Fairbanks, Alaska (KTUU/KTVF) - Within about five days’ time, construction crews were able to restore traffic flow on the Dalton Highway after a weekend washout and severe erosion in multiple locations made the haul road impassible. On Wednesday, the Alaska Dept. of Transportation (DOT) and public facilities reopened the highway to single-lane traffic as repairs continue. That traffic control remains in effect between mileposts 313 and 345.
