The NBA’s next media rights deal will have an emphasis on streaming, with Amazon reportedly favored to secure a piece of the pie. The negotiation window for the next deal — set to begin with the 2025-26 season — ends at 11:59 p.m. Monday. According to The Athletic reporter Andrew Marchand, the deal will make streaming the “principal distribution method.” While ESPN/ABC and TNT are all vying to retain their rights, a new partner is expected to join the mix.

The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the Colorado Rockies after one its coaches posted a video from inside the cockpit during flight. Hitting coach Hensley Muelens posted the video on Instagram after an April 10 team flight. In the video, Muelens can be seen sitting in the cockpit, joking that he’s “flying the plane.” Seating next to him, he said, was the flight’s first officer. He then joked that he planned on landing the plane at the team’s destination.
