Mediaite
Mediaite is a blog dedicated to news and opinions about politics and entertainment within the media sector. It serves as the main blog of Abrams Media, a collection of blogs managed by Dan Abrams, an ABC legal analyst. Other blogs under this umbrella include Gossip Cop, Geekosystem, Styleite, Sports Grid, The Mary Sue, The Maude, and The Braiser. Abrams has characterized Mediaite as "for the media, about the media, and part of the new media," and it features regular columns, a large collection of videos, and the "Power Grid," which ranks influential media figures. Dan Abrams is currently the publisher of Mediaite, which he co-founded in July 2009 alongside former editor Colby Hall. In a discussion with The Washington Post, Hall described the blog as a blend of "Huffington Post meets Gawker." In December 2011, Hall transitioned to Clear Channel, leaving Mediaite.
