Three Galena students and their Science teacher recently attended Student Government Day at the state capitol thanks to rotarians. On Wednesday, April 9, the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake financially sponsored three students and one teacher from Galena to spend the day in Jefferson City. Monica Mueller from the Rotary Club of Table Rock Lake (TRL) in Branson West chaperoned the teacher and students.

The Reeds Spring School District recently announced their April Excellence Award Employee of the Month. The Excellence Award winner for April is Kelly Knupp, an administrative assistant at Reeds Spring Middle School (RSMS). Knupp has been with the district for 39 years. According to a press release from the school, she helps to ensure the school functions at its highest level. “Kelly is the brains of the middle school. Her wealth of knowledge is second to none,” stated the district.

A local artist and leader in the art community has announced her retirement from the art business and the Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) Board of Directors. Lynnette Horn, announced her retirement in the SMAC April 30 newsletter.
