Butler and Notre Dame have played 103 times previously, and a former Dawgs assistant from the national runner-up teams will return to Hinkle Fieldhouse. INDIANAPOLIS — Butler basketball is welcoming a familiar face back to Hinkle Fieldhouse to tip off the 2025-26 season. Notre Dame, led by coach Micah Shrewsberry, a former Butler assistant from 2007 to 2011, will play in an exhibition game against Butler on Oct. 17.

Butler added games against a pair of low-major programs. One of the dates scheduled was held for a previous opponent, which has since been dropped. INDIANAPOLIS — The Butler basketball team's 2025-26 nonconference schedule continues to take shape with the addition of homes games against Chicago State and Eastern Michigan. The Bulldogs will host Chicago State on Nov. 11 at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Eastern Michigan will make the trip to Hinkle on Dec. 2.

IHSAA baseball sectionals run from May 28-June 2. We've made it to the final week of the IHSAA baseball regular season. Temperatures have consistently reached perfect baseball weather without getting too hot (in my opinion). Top teams continue to jostle for the top spot. The middle tier has started to stabilize as well with Zionsville making a leap back up the rankings. Here's this week's Central Indiana Fab 15:1.
