    Former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has petitioned President Museveni seeking his quick intervention in the unresolved dispute over the location of Masaka District headquarters. In a letter to Mr Museveni dated June 4, 2025, Mr Ssekandi said he donated free land measuring 10 acres to host the district headquarters at Kyambazzi Village in Kyanamukaaka Sub County, but some selfish politicians in Masaka want the headquarters to be constructed at Nkuke Village in Buwunga Sub County.

    The National Environment Management Authority (Nema) has approved the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries’ plan to expand its oil palm project to Masaka District. Whoever says that Hon Sam Kutesa spent his dime on the Church project is just misinformed .He made it clear that this was a donation to him by Tororo Cement
