    An Edinburgh gangster who was gunned down outside a pub had a £20,000 bounty on his head, underworld sources have claimed. Marc Webley was shot at about 11.50pm on Hogmanay outside the Anchor Inn, in the Granton area of the city. The 38-year-old was rushed to hospital but died later from a wound to his head after a balaclava-clad gunman ambushed him outside the bar and fired the fatal shot. Another man, aged 39, was also injured and is receiving treatment in hospital.

    The second victim of a shooting that took place in Edinburgh on Hogmanay has posted photos from his hospital bed. Detectives investigating the murder of convicted gangland gunman Marc Webley outside a pub in Granton are hunting for a red vehicle used by the suspects. Emergency services rushed to the area after Webley was shot at about 11.50pm outside the Anchor Inn in the city's Granton area.

    A convicted gangland gunman was shot dead in Edinburgh on Sunday night just minutes before the Hogmanay bells. Marc Webley, who was cleared of two attempted murders last year at the high court, was out attending a new year celebration at a pub. He was gunned down outside the Anchor Inn on Granton Road shortly before midnight, reports The Daily Record. Armed police attended the scene while paramedics saw to the 36-year-old.

    A Scottish firm has sparked outrage due to them selling reindeer shooting hunts during the Christmas period. The firm from Fife is run by Vernon Waters who refused to comment. As the Daily Record reports, he has been blasted by Animal rights campaigners for offering hunters the opportunities to kill the reindeer. As Christmas Day approaches, Hendry, Ramsay & Waters are advertising the "exclusive" holidays in Norway. They have not said how much the trips costs but they are believed to be thousands.
